Waiver Name - Specific internal name for your waiver (Standard Waiver, Default Waiver, Escape Room Waiver, Location 2 Waiver)

Status

  • Active - Waiver is active and will be actively used where appropriate
  • Draft - Editing is in progress, will not be used anywhere throughout the platform
  • Inactive - As waiver templates can not be deleted (because customers may have signed them) the Inactive status is similar to the draft status in that they are not currently being used but also indicates that they are not intended to be used again in the future.

Location - By default, waivers are set to “All Locations” and the majority of Companies, even those with multiple locations, find that they only need a single waiver template for their business.  For businesses who want to customize their waiver templates to be specific to each location, they can choose from this drop down and designate a waiver template to be used with a specific, individual location.

Resource Type - By default, Resource Type is set to “All Resource Types”, however, you can create waiver templates that are designed to be used with specific Resource Types (Activities) if your business has multiple activities and you require custom waivers for each.  Simply choose the appropriate Location in the previous dropdown and then select the appropriate Resource Type that you wish to associate the Waiver Template with.

Always Force New Signature - By default, this toggle is turned off and new signatures are not required for every visit to your venue.  Signed waivers are valid for 12 months after signing.  In the event that you would like to force returning customers to resign the waiver for every return trip to your venue (to appease nervous lawyers for example), toggle this setting on.

Reservation Search Prompt - This content will be displayed as helper text inside the search bar on your waiver kiosk view

Reservation Search Help - This content will be displayed underneath the search bar on your waiver kiosk view

Email Marketing Opt-in Message - This content will be displayed next to the pre-checked opt in check box for email marketing.

Next Scheduled Events Empty State - This content will be displayed on your waiver kiosk view when there are no more up coming reservations to display on the kiosk

Disclaimer Message - The content added here is generally used a the confirmation that the person signing the waiver is of legal age to sign the waiver, has read the entire waiver, agrees to electronic signature of the waiver as a legitimate legal document and any other “fine print” that your legal council advises to be added.

Disclaimer Message Part Two - The content added here is generally used for less serious legal disclosures like agreeing to be pictured or filmed during their reservation and their likeness may be used in future marketing material or any other “fine print” that your legal council advises to be added.

Waiver Header - This is the publicly displayed name of your waiver document.  Typically this is whatever your legal council has advised or named the document that they have created for you. For example:

  • Waiver
  • Liability Waiver
  • Release of Liability, Waiver and Assumption of risk
  • Awesome Experience Liability Waiver

Waiver Completed Header - This content will display as a success / thank you message after a customer has completed a waiver.

Waiver Body - This the main body and content of the waiver that the customer will be agreeing to when they sign the wavier.  Your legal council will need to provide this content to you and write it in such a way that you and your lawyer are happy with the language presented to your customers.  RKd can not and will not provide advice on what is added in this section of the Waiver Template.
