Public Booking Modal Payment Options

Online Payment Options can be set to 1 of the following 4 setting combinations.

Allow Full Payment

Selecting only the “Allow Full Payment” option will require that all online reservations are paid in full in order to complete the reservation.  A deposit option will not be shown to the online customer.  This option is great for special events and league packages where the venue does not want to have to collect a remaining balance upon customer arrival or simply wants to require a larger upfront commitment by the customer.

Allow Deposits

Selecting only the “Allow Deposits” option will require the online customer to pay a deposit for the reservation but will not allow the customer to make a full payment.  Customers will always have a remaining balance upon arrival at the venue when using this option.  This option is great for larger per person reservations where the total number of participants is likely to change.  Allowing only a deposit to be paid and not allowing a full payment ensures that the customer does not pay for more participants than needed at the time of the reservation and reduces the likelihood of the venue needing to submit a refund upon customer arrival. Custom deposit amount are determined in the group size settings at the bottom of this tab.

Allow Full Payment AND Deposits

Selecting both the “Allow Full Payment” option AND the “Allow Deposits” option will give the online customer the option to either pay in full or pay only a deposit when completing an online reservation.  Full payment will always be the default option during this step of the online booking process.  This is the most common setting used by venues for standard reservation packages.  Giving the online customer the option between the two gives the best of both worlds and encourages larger groups to book online while only having to pay a small deposit rather than requiring the full balance.

Authorize Card Only

Selecting the “Authorize Card Only” option will immediately deselect the other 2 payment options in this step and can not be used in conjunction with the other options.  This option should only be used in very special circumstances and is likely to increase the percentage of no show reservations due to the customer having little to no commitment to show up for the reservation.  This option is most likely to be used by venues that want to increase the balance paid by the customer while in the venue and most common when used in tandem with the RKd Food & Beverage Point Of Sale suite.
