By default, all reservations in RKd have 3 status icons that are always visible regardless of settings, the “Paid in full” icon, the "Reservation Started" icon, and the “Reservation Complete” icon.
The Waivers Required Toggle controls 2 optional icons and status indicators that can be turned off if you choose.
- All waivers signed
- All guests checked (and on-site)
In addition to removing the status icons from reservation cards on the calendar, deselecting this option also removes all requirements (and benefits) of signing a waiver before the reservation starts. For example:
- Confirmation email and text notifications will not include links for guests to sign waivers.
- Reservations for this resource type will not be included on the waiver kiosk
- Checking in participants on the reservation is not possible and Locations will not be able to track returning customer data
- Reporting on demographic data will not be possible due to not collecting it
Depending on your activity type, it simply may not be reasonable for you to expect that customers sign a waiver ahead of time (bowling, ping pong, pool tables, etc) however, there are significant long term benefits to requiring even an extremely basic waiver when at all possible. For example:
- Send follow up/review request emails to all participants of a reservation rather than only the person who made the reservation
- Import waiver contact data into mail chimp for email marketing campains for customer who opt-in to receiving marketing emails
- Report on first time customers vs returning customer data
- Implement loyalty programs based on the number of visits or hours spent at your facility.
