Durations can be created in 15 minutes increments and users can create as many durations as needed (or only one) to accommodate the goals of the package. Durations can also be designated as “Internal Only” in order to allow venue staff to select those durations but NOT allow online customers to select them.
For example, you may want to add a 30 minute duration in order to allow your staff the ability to add-on 30 minutes to an existing reservation but you may NOT want online customers to make 30 minute reservations online. In this case, simply check the “Internal Only” option next to the duration and the 30 minute duration will be excluded from duration options available online.
Similarly, you may want your staff to have access to longer duration options than the public has access to and the same “Internal Only” setting applies in that case. We have found that 3-4 duration options is a good rule-of-thumb for the maximum number of duration options available to online customers. This rule-of-thumb can be broken of course but keep in mind that you can always offer another package with additional durations if needed rather than a single package with many durations. Many venues choose to create a “Small Group" package with shorter durations, a second “Large Group” Package with longer durations and potentially a “Full Facility Rental” package with even longer duration options.
