Hours Allowance Settings

Limited - Selecting the Limited option here will allow you to dictate how many pre-paid hours per month your Members have available to them for reservations in your venue.  The total number of allowance hours is reset at the start of every new term.  If you have enabled the Rollover option (see below), certain members may start a new term with more than what is set here (if they ended the previous term with unused hours) but never more than the sum of the Base Monthly Allowance + Rollover Limit.  Additionally, after using all of their Base Monthly Allowance, members may also receive a discount on future reservations depending on the settings in the “Additional Member Discounts” section.

Base Monthly Allowance - This is the amount of pre-paid hours that Members start each term with.

Unlimited - The Unlimited option means that members can make as many reservations as they want throughout the course of the membership term.  Daily and Weekly limits will soon be introduced for this option to provide some backstop if you would like.  We would encourage you to use this option sparingly, in special situations, with non-recurring Membership Type options, with membership limits, and at a significant financial premium.

Allow Monthly Rollover of Unused Allowance - When using the Limited Hours Allowance option, you will also have the option to include a Rollover Limit if all of the Base Monthly Allowance hours are not used during the membership term.  The rollover amount will be added to the Base Monthly Allowance at the beginning of the next term. Members will never start a new term with more hours than the sum of these 2 hour totals.

  • For example, lets say a Membership Type has a Base Monthly Allowance of 10 hours per month with a Rollover Limit of 5 hours.  If a member only uses 5 of the 10 Base Allowance Hours (leaving 5 unused), they will start the next term with a total of 15 hours to use during that 30 day term (10 Base Monthly Allowance + 5 hour Rollover Limit).  If that same member then again only uses 5 hours while they have 15 to start the term, leaving 10 hours unused, only 5 hours will Rollover into the next month and the Member will again start the next term with 15 available hours.
