Recurring Event Selection

Recurring Events are the most common type of package selection and are most commonly NOT used in conjunction with the Special Event toggle.  When the Special Event toggle is being used in conjunction with the Recurring Event selection, usually this is for situations like Leagues or recurring single day tournaments.

When the Recurring Event option is chosen, you will have 2 fields to complete.  The first field is the Bookable Starting On field and is used to determine when reservations are allowed to start booking this package.  Most commonly, admin users will choose Todays date so that the new package can be used for reservations starting immediately.  When the date used in this field is in the future, reservations can still be created/sold starting today BUT the date of the actual reservation can not be before this date.

For example, you might want to create a “Summer Happy Hour” package with special pricing that starts on June 1st and ends on August 31st.  In the Bookable Starting On field, you would simply choose June 1st and even if Today's date is before June, the first available date to book will be June 1st.

The second field for the Recurring Event option is the Bookable Ending On field.  This field is optional but when used it determines the last day that the package is available to be used.  When this field is left empty, it indicates that the package has NO end date and will allow reservations to be made indefinitely.  Leaving this field empty is the most common use for creating standard packages.

The Recurring Event date fields can also be used for very short date ranges when needed like a 2 day tournament.
