Comp Reasons is an editable list that your staff will use when comping a POS Item for a customer.  Comped items are assumed to have been served to the customer, have a cost of goods sold, but the customer will not be expected to pay for the item.  Comp reasons may include but are not limited to:

  • Incorrect Order
  • Birthday Comp
  • Manager Comp
  • Guest Recovery
  • Spill Comp
  • Customer refused
  • Customer did not like
  • Cooked Improperly

Contrary to Comped Items, Voided items are assumed to not have served, cooked, mixed or otherwise have a loss of product associated with the removal from the customers bill.  Void reasons may include but are not limited to.

  • Customer Changed their mind before the item was cooked or mixed
  • Entered incorrectly by the server
