Passcode for Credit Card Terminal Settings

The only settings managed directly on the AMS1 terminal are Wifi Network settings.  The passcode for updating network settings is 8827.

The AMS1 credit card terminal has NO others settings or configuration that are managed directly except for the network settings to connect the device to your local wifi network.

ALL other settings are managed directly by RKd.

The credit card terminal does not contain any transaction history or reporting.  ALL of this information is managed directly inside your RKd admin settings.

Credit card transaction cannot be initiated directly from the Terminal without the use of the RKd Software.  All Transactions are initiated from RKd.  The device simply waits for instruction from RKd and wakes up when instructed to display a payment amount and will then be ready to process a credit card payment or pre-authorize a credit card for use in the RKd POS Terminal.

  • In-person reservation payments are initiated from the reservation details drawer by selecting the "Reservation payment" option in the actions menu.
  • In-person Gift Card purchases may be initiated from the admin Gift Card sales area.
  • Basic POS Transactions can be initiated from the POS menu in the admin section of your account after adding POS products to your product list.
  • RKd Advanced POS payments and pre-authorizations are initiated from the POS Terminal on your computer or tablet.

In ALL of the above cases, the AMS1 Credit Card Terminal will wake up when the appropriate "Process" button is selected and will then display the appropriate amount of the payment or pre-authorization on the terminal screen.
