New POS Transaction

New POS transactions can be started and completed from two separate areas of the platform depending on the situation at hand.  For purchases being made by a customer that is not part of a reservation, new POS transactions can be started by navigating to the left nav, selecting the POS drop down and then selecting the New Transaction option.



Conversely, for POS purchases being made by customers who ARE part of an ongoing reservation, POS Transactions can be started by navigating the the customers reservation tile on the calendar.  Once the reservation drawer is displayed, open the additional action item menu by selecting the up arrow in the bottom right corner and then choosing POS Transaction from the list.  This option has the extra benefit of being able to reference the reservation in the future if you ever need to provide a refund or look up the details of the transaction for any reason.  POS Transactions made from the left nav option will not provide this additional relationship to a reservation.

After selecting the POS Transaction option in either location, the next steps are identical.  Simply choose the products in the quantity that you would like to sell, select the payment method and complete the onscreen fields to finish the transaction.  Depending on the zoom level of your browser, some scrolling may be required to complete all of the fields.
